African Female Journalists' Action on Climate Change

Putting Cimate Change into Perspective

Mission

 ·         AFJACC’s actions are geared towards influencing policies from a gender perspective and to squarely address the possibility of arriving at a sustainable and low carbon society. It is a network of journalists who believe that the voice of women is pivotal in achieving set objectives at the local, national and international levels. The association thus seeks to attain this through networking, advocacy and mass communication.

·         AFJACC exists to bridge the information gap by educating the public on issues like global warming, carbon emissions, green house gases, solar energy and other jargon that are not well understood by many.

·         Above all AFJACC wants to showcase the efforts of other female actors like political and religious leaders in mitigating climate change.
